NEW REPORTER FUNCTION: Reopen time study
In the past:
- Previously, if a Reporter submitted a time study and then realized they made some type of error, they would have to reach out to their Supporter or an Admin to reopen their time study (from the Approval Status report) and fix the error.
Enhanced functionality:
- Save time and reduce steps! It’s now possible (with some exclusions) for a Reporter to reopen the time study themselves, from the Time Studies report, following the steps outlined below.
Steps (Reporter only):
- Go to Reporting > Time Studies in the navigation menu
- Click Search
- If you want to view the currently-open time period, set the "End Date" field after the end of this time period
- If you want to view the currently-open time period, set the "End Date" field after the end of this time period
- Locate the submitted (unexpired) time study that you need to reopen
- Click the Reopen icon under the Action column on the far right
- The eyeball is to view the time study, the spinning arrow is to reopen the time study
- The eyeball is to view the time study, the spinning arrow is to reopen the time study
- You will see a confirmation at the top of the time study. Make your edits, then be sure to click Submit again.
Exclusions: This feature is NOT permitted in these cases:
- The time study is expired (i.e. past the deadline date).
- The Reporter has a Supporter who is assigned to review/approve their records. This type of Reporter still needs to reach out to their Supporter/Admin to reopen for them.
- An Admin or Supporter attempts to reopen. Those users will not see the Reopen icon, and will still need to use the Approval Status report to reopen time studies.

In order to prevent confusion about what will happen if you try do a Password Reset on an Inactive user, you will now find that the Reset Password button in the User Profile is disabled while the user is Inactive.
If you’d like to reactivate a user, remove the date from the Termination Date field and click Save. Once the profile is Active again, you can use the Password Reset button.

CUSTOM REPORT BUILDER: simplified further
In our ongoing efforts to make the Custom Report Builder more user-friendly, we’ve made another important change: the Group section has been merged into the Select section. This simplified method reduces your number of clicks, is more clear about what your selections actually do, and allows us to consolidate the page into a more concise space.
REPORT UNIFICATION: Completed Records merged into Time Studies report
The Time Studies report (under Admin Reports > Time Studies) has absorbed the Completed Records report, resulting in a single report that contains more information.
In this report, you can find all time studies that have been started. You can filter by Hold, Pending, or Completed, or leave the filter open. You can see when records were e-signed, see the total hours, and (if you’re an Admin) use the red trash can to fully “reset” and clear out the time study.
In order to be notified of upcoming changes, please be sure to follow the instructions here.
