To reset a Reporter or Supporter user password:
- Click People in the left navigation panel
- Search for the user in the search box at the top of the list
- You can search using one of these:
- First name
- Last name
- Username
- but not more than one word
- capital letters do not matter
- You can search using one of these:
- Click the purple edit icon on the right side of the user's row
- In the Action buttons at the bottom of the page, click Reset Password*
- The user will receive an email providing them with a temporary password
- They should immediately change their password for security reasons
*If the user has been locked out due to too many failed login attempts, then before step 4, you will need to change the dropdown Locked from YES to NO and click Save. Navigate back to their profile, and then continue on with step 4 above. You will not see the Reset Password button until you have unlocked the account.
