Refer to the activity hover descriptions first. If unclear, contact your time study program administrator for accurate information.
When determining where to enter your time, it's important to understand that every organization designs its time study differently. There is no single "right" answer that applies to everyone — what matters is that you follow the definitions set up by your organization.

Step 1: Check the activity descriptions
Each activity is intended to represent a type of work. To decide where your time belongs:
- Hover over an activity name.
- A short description or set of examples will appear.
- Compare your task to the examples. If it matches, enter your time there.
Step 2: Consider your organization's guidelines
Your organization may provide specific instructions about how they want time reported. Check whether they have a separate training site, or look for uploaded files under Resources > Your Files in the far-left menu.
Step 3: Contact your program administrator if you're unsure
If you can't find a clear match by reviewing the activity descriptions, ask your time study program administrator. They can give you the definitive answer on where to enter your hours.
- In many cases, their contact information is included in emails you've already received from Time Study (such as your welcome email or reminder emails).
- If you still can't locate their information, submit a support ticket and we'll help you identify the correct person at your organization.
