If your organization allows it, you will see a dropdown at the top of your time study to select alternate dates.
Some organizations conducting quarterly time studies allow you to select two consecutive alternate weeks if the default ones don't work for you. Once you've selected one week, the second week is chosen for you. You cannot select a future date until that week has arrived.
Check your Dashboard to see if this option is available to you. If it is, you'll notice a blue instructional banner at the top.

Default Time Periods
View Default weeks in the Upcoming section on your Dashboard.
If you fill out one default week, you must also complete the other for that quarter.
Switching to an Optional Time Period
To switch to an optional time period, open your pre-assigned default week. At the top of the time study, find the "Optional Time Periods" bar and its dropdown.
Select the desired week from the dropdown; the system will auto-assign you to the next week.
IMPORTANT: Click the gray button "Select these dates" before entering your hours.
Choosing a Future Week
Future weeks won't appear in the dropdown until they start. You'll need to wait for the week to arrive before selecting it.
Why can't I choose a different week?
- If you've already chosen:
- a default week this quarter, you can't select an optional week for your second week.
- an optional week this quarter, you're assigned the next consecutive week and can't change it.
To start over with new dates, your time study program administrator must reset them, which will erase your current data. If you're unsure who your administrator is, please submit a support ticket for help.
- This feature isn't available for all organizations. If you can't access it, look at the bottom of your time study for an option to enter PTO hours instead.
